Lusitano Global Academy serves as the Global Centre of an international network dedicated to Portuguese as a Foreign Language training and the preparation for official certifications across the Lusophone world.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Lusitano Global Academy®
1. IDENTIFICATION
Lusitano Global Academy® is a fully online language training academy offering educational programmes in different languages internationally.

2. PURPOSE OF THE SERVICE
The academy offers language training programmes in the following formats:
a) Group classes
b) Individual classes
The content, duration and specific conditions are detailed in each contracted programme.
3. PURCHASE CONDITIONS
All payments are one-off, upfront and non-refundable. Prices are expressed exclusively in euros (€).
If the customer uses a payment method in a different currency, the conversion will be carried out by their bank or payment provider, and fees, exchange rates or additional charges may apply. These shall be fully borne by the customer.
Lusitano Global Academy® shall not be responsible for differences in the final amount resulting from currency conversions, bank fees or charges applied by third parties.
The customer is responsible for any bank fee or additional cost applied by their financial institution or payment method.
In the case of payments by bank transfer:
a) The customer has 24 hours to complete the payment.
b) If payment is not completed within this period, the reservation will be automatically cancelled, releasing the place without any right to subsequent claim.
Once the payment receipt has been issued, the details cannot be modified.
The customer acknowledges that, due to the digital nature of the service, the purchase implies waiver of the right of withdrawal once payment has been confirmed.
The customer declares that they are over 18 years of age. In the case of contracting the service for a minor, the customer declares that they are acting as the parent or legal guardian, assuming full responsibility for the purchase, use of the service and compliance with these conditions, as well as for the accuracy of the data provided.
The customer also declares that they are the holder of the payment method used or that they have the express authorisation of the holder, releasing Lusitano Global Academy® from any liability arising from improper or unauthorised use of said payment method.
The customer undertakes to provide truthful, complete and up-to-date information during the purchase process, including identification and billing details. The customer declares that the data provided corresponds to their real identity and, where applicable, to their usual address or residence, being responsible for any inaccuracy or false information.
Lusitano Global Academy® shall not be responsible for errors arising from incorrect data provided by the customer.
The academy reserves the right to request additional documentation to verify the customer’s identity whenever it considers it necessary.
Lusitano Global Academy® shall not be responsible for holds, blocked funds, duplicate charges or incidents arising from internal processes of banks, card issuers or payment platforms. The customer must manage such incidents directly with their financial institution.
The customer expressly accepts all financial and payment conditions at the time of purchase.

5. ATTENDANCE AND ABSENCES
a) Attendance is the sole responsibility of the student.
b) Absence from class, for any reason (personal, medical, force majeure or otherwise), shall not entitle the student to a refund or compensation.
c) Missed classes will not be recovered in either group or individual format.
d) The student may request an additional individual class to recover content, paying the applicable fee and subject to availability.
e) No service is refundable for any reason.
6. DURATION AND CONTINUITY
Each programme includes a specific number of sessions, for example, 10 classes.
After completion of the programme, continuity will require a new enrolment and payment for the corresponding format.
7. SCHEDULES
All classes are governed by the official time of Lisbon, Portugal.
It is the student’s responsibility to correctly consider their time zone.
8. PUNCTUALITY
Classes start punctually at the scheduled time.
If the student is late, the session will end at the scheduled time, with no possibility of extension.
9. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
The student is responsible for having:

suitable device

camera
-
functional audio
-
appropriate environment
Lusitano Global Academy® shall not be responsible for external technical failures, interruptions or problems arising from factors outside the institution.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Lusitano Global Academy® shall not be liable for:

user connection problems
-
external technical failures
-
interruptions outside the platform
-
incorrect use of the service
-
inability to access the service for reasons attributable to the student
11. FORCE MAJEURE
The academy shall not be liable for non-performance resulting from force majeure, including internet failures, power outages or other events beyond its reasonable control.
12. PERSONAL AND NON-TRANSFERABLE USE
a) Access to the programmes is personal and non-transferable.
b) Sharing access, allowing third parties to participate or reproducing classes without authorisation is prohibited.
13. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content, materials, methodologies and resources used are the exclusive property of Lusitano Global Academy®.
Their reproduction, distribution or commercial use without express authorisation is prohibited.
14. USER CONDUCT
The student must maintain respectful behaviour.
The academy reserves the right to exclude the student without refund in the event of inappropriate conduct.
15. DATA PROTECTION (GDPR)
Lusitano Global Academy® complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
Personal data will be processed to manage the service, communicate with the customer and comply with legal obligations.

16. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER
The user accepts the international processing of their data in accordance with applicable regulations.
17. PAYMENTS AND FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Lusitano Global Academy® shall not be responsible for:

card charges
-
currency conversions
-
fees applied by third parties
18. CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES
The academy reserves the right to reschedule classes, reorganise groups or replace teachers without affecting the quality of the contracted service.
19. LEARNING OUTCOMES
Lusitano Global Academy® develops its programmes according to high academic standards, aimed at supporting the student’s progress in a dynamic and structured environment.
Learning progress will ultimately depend on the initial level, dedication, practice and individual involvement of each student.
20. RESCHEDULING, CANCELLATION AND VOUCHERS
If the student is unable to start the programme for personal reasons, they may request, before the start date, the cancellation of their place.
In such cases, no refund of the amount paid will be made, and an equivalent voucher may be granted, valid for up to 12 months from its issue date, for use in other programmes offered by Lusitano Global Academy®.
The voucher is for single use only, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. If the newly selected programme has a higher value, the student must pay the corresponding difference.
Once the voucher has been used, it shall be considered fully consumed. If the student is unable to start or continue the new programme for personal reasons, no new vouchers or additional compensation shall be issued.
Once the validity period has expired without the voucher being used, it will automatically lose its validity, with no right to claim.
Participation in at least one session shall constitute the start of the service, meaning that vouchers or subsequent relocation will no longer be possible.
Requests to change group or schedule may be considered by Lusitano Global Academy® and will be subject to availability at the time of the request.
Lusitano Global Academy® will, where possible, seek to support the student in continuing their training; however, group organisation and place availability depend on internal operational factors.
The student acknowledges and accepts that their progress and participation in the programme require proper planning, availability and personal commitment.
21. ACCEPTANCE OF CONDITIONS
By making the purchase, the customer declares that they have read, understood and fully accepted these terms and conditions, which constitute a binding agreement between the parties.

Lusitano Global Academy® is a registered trademark.

23. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION
These conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws in force in Portugal.
For the resolution of any conflict or dispute, the parties submit to the competent courts of Portugal, without prejudice to any applicable consumer protection regulations.
